Henderson's 1972 Summit Series Game 8 GWG
This is arguably the greatest and most significant goal ever scored in ice hockey. After being embarrassed by the Soviet Union on Canadian ice for the first four games, Team Canada fought back to win the final three of four games played in Russia. In the dying final moments of Game 8, Paul Henderson receives the puck from Phil Esposito and beats Vladislav Tretiak for the game and series winner. Pure bedlam erupted in Canada where life stood still when this game was played. Hockey after the Summit Series has never been the same.
